XBlades AFL Sydney Round 11 Men’s Rising Star
AFL Sydney is pleased to announce that the 2017 Round 11 Rising Star is James Cubis from the North Shore Bombers.
James was judged best on ground in North Shore’s win against UTS on the weekend. In a dominating display off halfback he won plenty of ball, was effective in setting up numerous scoring opportunities and performed some fearless team acts.
James was destined to be a key player in North Shore’s 2017 season after starring in the club’s Under 19’s premiership last year. This was also underscored through the 7 games he played in Premier Division in 2016, in which he was in the best 4 times.
His solid pre-season, high work ethic and desire to be good team mate have resulted a strong start to the season for James and this culminated in the big game he played on the weekend.
