XBlades AFL Sydney Round 15 Men’s Rising Star

AFL Sydney is pleased to announce that the 2017 Round 15 Rising Star is Harry Morrison from Sydney University.

Harry has been a standout for Sydney University this year and has been a regular in University’s best players despite being just 19 years of age. On the weekend against East Coast, Harry kicked 2 goals to to add to his tally of 13 goals in just 10 games. This is even more impressive considering that Harry plays in the midfield.

Harry graduated from Geelong Grammar in 2016 and lived in Williamstown (Western Melbourne) before moving to Sydney to study for a Bachelor of Economics. During his study he will live on campus at Sydney University in St Paul’s College.

In 2014, 2015 and 2016 Harry played in Geelong Grammar 1st XVIII with the young midfielder receiving full Colours for Football and played in a grand final for Old Geelong U19 in the VAFA. Last year he was the Vice Captain of the school team, awarded most consistent player for Geelong Grammer and played in a VAFA Senior Division 1 Premiership. In 2017 Harry has also played rep footy for the VAFA U19 Representative Squad.
