South West Sydney Magpies 2018 Football Positions
The South West Sydney Magpies Australian Football Club, affiliated with AFL Sydney, is seeking expressions of interest for the following positions for the 2018 season.
- First Grade Coach – currently Division 2
- Reserve Grade Coach – currently Division 4
- Under 19’s Coach – currently Division 2
- Women’s Coach – currently Division 1
- Club Strength & Conditioning Coach
- Assistant Coaches- all grades
- Team mangers, trainers & support staff
- Players for all grades
The Club’s home ground is the immaculate Rosedale Oval, located in Sydney’s South West just off
the M5 near Liverpool. The SWS Magpies AFC participates in the AFL Sydney Division 2 and
Division 4 men’s competitions, Division 2 under 19’s and Division 1 Women’s competition. The Club
is progressive and demands high standards of all players, coaches and support staff.
The Club offers a talented young playing list along with facilities that are among the best in Sydney
AFL. The Club is financially sound with excellent sponsorship support from the local community. All
Coaches and support staff will receive a high level of support from the executive committee.
We are seeking a First Grade Coach who is prepared to commit for a minimum of two years to the
role and believe they have the leadership skills to guide the senior side and add value to a strong
culture at the Club. The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills both written
and verbal. They will have a well developed understanding of game plans along with team structures
and their implementation. They must be willing to assist in the development of players and coaches
at the senior and junior Clubs.
The First Grade Coach, along with the Football Manager, will have input into the recommendation
of all other coaches who will be appointed by the Committee. First Grade coaching applicants will
require a minimum Level 2 Certificate. All other coaching applicants will require a minimum Level 1
certificate.
