18 year old Maddy, a former junior with the Newtown Swans and Maroubra Saints recommenced football in the preseason, after two years off with an ACL injury. Maddy played a practice game in the preseason and demonstrated that she was deserving of a run in the Premier Division squad for round one.

Playing on the wing, in her first official game of senior football, Maddy was able to use her strong skills, pace and intuitive positioning to assist the team to a comfortable win over UTS. Given that 9 players of the premiership winning team were missing, she was able to show she is going to be pushing for regular selection in the 2018 Season.”
