Boy, Oh Boy Wowee of the Week – Week 13

THE WEEK THIRTEEN BOY, OH BOY WOWEE OF THE WEEK GOES TO…

Pennant Hills Demons for Jason Clarke playing his 350th game at the annual Back to the Ern and Past Players Day. Jason became the first player in the club’s 48 year history to reach the 350 game milestone. This is a monumental achievement which speaks volumes about Clarkey’s passion for the code and for the Club. As a spritely 43 year old, he’s still a capable and competitive player but more importantly he has over a long period been a role model and mentor to the hundreds of young men and young women, who have donned the ‘Red and the Blue’ of the Pennant Hills Demons. Congrats Clarkey, for this fine innings you have also been bestowed the honour of this weeks Boy, Oh Boy Wowee of the Week.

NOTEWORTHY NOMINATIONS GO TO…

Jed Ellis-Cluff of the Camden Cats Premier Division side has gone toe to toe with his teammate Matt Edwards for the best falcon of the year from his effort a few weeks ago. The good news for Jed is that he quite possibly has the strongest chin in the world, mainly due to the fact it covers the majority of his face, so it’s saved him from a potential knockout. Jed is a new member of the cat family, who in his first year is a chance at the club Best and Fairest. Votes may have to be deducted for this marking attempt though. It may have cost you your pride but it has won you a Boy, Oh Boy Wowee nomination.

Sydney University for hosting their second annual Pride Round. On Saturday both Sydney University and UNSW Eastern Suburbs celebrated Pride Round as they faced off at Sydney University Oval 1. All teams on the day wore rainbow socks and raised money for Headspace. You looked great in the rainbow hoops!
