Vale Lorraine Cloney

After a long battle with illness, Sydney AFL has lost one its most decorated and committed volunteers in Lorraine Cloney from the Southern Power.

For three decades, Lorraine selflessly committed her time and energy to the Power to ensure that every single Saturday, the canteen was stocked full of delicious food and drinks and no matter if it was the home team or visitors, the quality of offerings and service was second to none.

Lorraine, like her husband Brian, daughter Elise who also volunteered for decades and sons Stuart and Glen who played for the Power, are all known as the fabric of the club. Lorraine’s dedication and commitment will forever be remembered eternally.

A Southern Power Clubwoman Of The Year multiple times and 2016 AFL Sydney Volunteer of the Year, Lorraine will be sadly missed. Lorraine’s legacy will live through the dozens of other club volunteers she mentored who have shone through their dedication and service to the Southern Power and wider Sydney AFL community.

Lorraine is survived by her loving husband Brian, also a three decade member of the Southern Power committee who continues to help bring out the best of the local community, sons Stuart and Glen and daughter Elise.
