Player Profile

Name: Jacob De Angelis

Nickname: Dea

AFL Sydney Club: Manly Warringah Wolves

Position: Small Forward/ Wing

Junior Club: Manly Bombers

Favourite activity to do outside of football:  Playing touch footy or going to the beach

What is one thing that we don’t know about this Rising Star that they are well known for around the club?

Jacob is the self-declared ‘larrikin’ or ‘pest’ of the Club. Everyone has one and he’s ours! But we wouldn’t have it any other way.

What role do they play for the club both on and off the field?

Jacob is a high pressure and energy player who loves to get around the boys over the small things. Jacob will put his hand up for any off-field duty like Canteen or being a runner or water carrier and he never complains. We expect that from our players at Manly and he is the perfect example of this. Always willing to go above and beyond.

The night before the game what will they most likely be doing?

Staying out of trouble and working at his family’s Mexican restaurant, Freshie Mex!

Do they have any pre-game superstitions?

Jacob’s got a couple – he must go to his local for breakfast, he has to watch the Ben Barba highlights of 2012, has to eat a banana and lastly, running out he will make the sign of the cross and look up to the sun.
