How long have you been coaching for?
Mixture of 20 years in Junior and Senior Football in SA and NSW and into my 4th year as senior coach at Manly Warringah.
What drove you to become a coach?
I enjoy imparting the knowledge that I learned during my career onto young players and creating friendships with the playing group.
Favourite AFL Sydney coaching moment, why?
2018 Elimination Final win and seeing the enjoyment of the win on the players.
Is there an AFL Coach you model your coaching style off? If yes, why?
No not really, I generally try to use bits and pieces from all coaches.
Do you have any pre-game coaching superstitions/ routines?
No, game day is the players day and a time for them to enjoy playing the game,
What is one piece of advice you would give to young, up and coming coaches?
Don’t let your frustrations show and always act in a composed positive manner with passionate communication.

What are you missing most about footy during lockdown?
The weekly interaction with the players at training and game day.
What TV show is getting you through lockdown?
Sex/Life is worth a look.
Interests outside of footy?
Keeping fit and renovating our home.

Hot Chocolate for me.
What does this coach bring to your club?
The club is very privileged to have a coach like Andrew, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a cool calm head to our playing group in what has been a very challenging last couple of years.
