XBlades AFL Sydney Round 2 Women’s Rising Star – Zoe Devlin (UNSW/ES Stingrays)
AFL Sydney would like to congratulate Zoe Devlin who has been adjudicated as the Women’s Rising Star for Round 2 is from the UNSW/ES Stingrays. 18 year old Zoe came to the UNSWES Stingrays this season and is a former representative Youth Girl from the Maroubra Saints.
Zoe, a skilled left footer, who played her first game of Women’s Premier Division football in the UNSW-ES Stingrays team in round one. She was an integral part of the midfield, playing in the center with experienced midfielders from the 2016 premiership team Phoebe Monahan and Tia Bool. Zoe has adapted to senior women’s football quickly and successfully performed a key team role on Saturday. Her performance was outstanding usually performed by more experienced players and contributing to the decisive win over the newly amalgamated Auburn Penrith Giants as well as the Newtown Breakaways.
