XBlades AFL Sydney Round 15 Women’s Rising Star

AFL Sydney is pleased to announce that the 2017 Round 15 Women’s Rising Star is Koozee Huybers from the UNSW Eastern Suburbs Stingrays.

Koozee has played 11 games with the Stingrays this year including 3 in Premier Division since coming to senior women’s football from the Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs Youth Girls in 2017. She was also selected to play in the Harvey Norman U21 All stars in the exhibition match at Spotless stadium in May 2017.

Koozee has great leg speed and is developing as a dangerous forward or handy midfielder. Koozee was selected as Best on Ground by the division one coaches in last Saturday’s match against Sydney University at Blacktown.

She is also an assistant coach of the Easter Suburbs u18 Youth Girls at her former club. UNSW-ES is excited to see Koozee developing her football skills and knowledge and believe she is a worthy nominee for this week’s rising star.
