XBlades AFL Sydney Round 18 Rising Star

AFL Sydney is pleased to announce that the 2017 Round 18 Rising Star is Charles Ford from the Western Suburbs Magpies.

Charles Ford has had a fantastic first season at Western Suburbs being named in the best players for half the games he has played in 2017.  Charles has played every game this season including representing AFL Sydney in the representative game against Black Diamond AFL.

Spending most of his time in the midfield, Charles’ hard running ability has seen him kick 8 goals for season.  He was also rewarded with the captaincy for Western Suburbs when the captain missed games through injury during the year.

Charles had another stand out game during the Round 18 final round clash against Manly, a performance which showed his determination to win every contest.
