Southern Power AFC on the lookout for coaches for season 2020
Southern Power Australian Football Club are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced coaches for their Men’s and Women’s Senior teams for the 2020 season. Southern Power are looking to build on a very successful 2019 which saw the club secure premierships in both the Platinum Division and Platinum Division Reserves competitions, along with finals appearances in Men’s’ Third Division, Women’s Third Division, and Under 19s Division Two competitions. The club also received third place in the AFL Sydney Club championship across all AFL Sydney competitions. The club is now on the lookout for candidates to fill the following coaching positions:
- Platinum Division Coach
- Platinum Division Reserves Coach
- Third Grade Coach
- Premier Division Women’s Coach and Assistant Coach
- Women’s Third Division Coach
- Under 19s Division 2 Coach and Assistant Coach
The successful applicants must possess the following attributes:
- Great communication skills with the playing group and football committee
- Ability to implement game plans and structures
- Engagement with wider coaching group and local junior clubs.
- Willingness and ability to develop players of various abilities and experience
- Minimum Level 1 coaching certificate is required, with Level 2 strongly encouraged

We are also seeking interest from persons wanting to assist in volunteer roles within the club in positions such as Team Managers, Timekeepers, Canteen and helpers for season 2020.
