2020 Community Building Partnership Grants Open
The NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership Grant Program to assist community AFL clubs with infrastructure projects has now opened for 2020.
The program opened today and applications will be accepted until Friday, June 12, 2020.
Offered by the NSW Government, the program is open to clubs, associations, councils and schools to assist with infrastructure-based projects, which meet a need of the local community.
Any club which has plans to upgrade or improve Australian Football facilities within their community is strongly encouraged to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity.
Each New South Wales electorate has $300,000 to allocate at their discretion (generally split across numerous projects with the average successful grant being around $20,000) after assessing each project against the Project Assessment Criteria which is outlined below:
- Enhance facilities: The project develops a vibrant, sustainable and inclusive community through the enhancement or construction of community infrastructure
- Meet community need: The project supports activities and services needed by local communities.
- Increase community participation: The project encourages participation in activities or services needed by a broad section of the community.
- Organisations capacity: The applicant has the capacity to deliver the project on time and within scope.
Projects with contributions from their own or other sources will be considered favourably. Local councils, including their section 355 committees, are required to provide matched funding to the CBP grants.
