Damian Truslove – Eagles new Head Coach for 2021
The club is very excited to announce the ex GWS Giants Development Coach, Damian Truslove as the new Head Coach at the Eagles for season 2021.
Truslove comes to the Eagles with an excellent pedigree having previously worked in the AFL program as a development coach at Carlton FC and VFL at Richmond FC, before moving to the Giants. Damian is a Level 3 High Performance Coach who has been coaching for more than 10 years and he has a real passion for craft coaching, biomechanics and skill acquisition and providing a challenging and enjoyable environment.
At the end of 2016 the GWS Giants offered him the great opportunity to coach their NEAFL midfield and backline and look after player skill development. Damian said, “I am extremely excited to be announced the head coach of the East Coast Eagles FC. The club has a very proud history and I will be working closely with the playing group, staff and supporters to make sure the future is strong.
Everyone involved at the Eagles will feel a sense of belonging and the players will be challenged to continually improve their performance. WE will strive for team success on the back of creating an environment which encourages all to grow.”
Eagles President, David Arndt said: “Damian is a perfect fit for our Club in terms of his skills and vision and our goals are very much aligned. We have a young squad and his focus on development is just what we need in a Head Coach.
