AFL Legend Dane Swan to Play in Local Club Footy Match
AFL Premiership player DANE SWAN will put his footy boots on once again when he runs out for South West Sydney Blues AFL Club on June 18 at Rosedale Oval, Warwick Farm.
Swan’s AFL career is certainly impressive. Premiership player, Brownlow Medalist, three time Copeland Trophy recipient, and a five-time All-Australian. He was also the recipient of the Leigh Matthews Trophy as the league’s most valuable player in 2010.
The former mighty Magpie will be side by side with Blues players in an event not to be missed. Not only an opportunity to see an AFL great in action, but to support and celebrate the growth of AFL in the South West and Macarthur regions.
Senior games commence at 9:30am with Dane Swan playing in the club’s Platinum division first grade game at 3:00pm.
The Club will also be celebrating past players, a corporate marquee, kid’s activities and involvement from local sponsors.
Following the game fixtures, the Club will be hosting a SPORTS DINNER where Swan will be a keynote speaker. Multiple sporting identities will also join in the night – no doubt an opportunity to reflect on the days games and share a sporting story or two.
Held at the Holiday Inn, Warwick Farm. 7:00pm for 7:30pm. An opportunity to celebrate elite sporting identities both locally, nationally and internationally. Tickets are $110pp including food, beverage and entertainment.
