What is one thing that we don’t know about this Rising Star that they are well known for around the club?

Mitchell is a very confident individual that loves being challenged. He not only gets himself up for the challenge but is a good motivator of those around him. In fact, Mitchell seeks challenges and doesn’t enjoy the routine.

What role do they play for the club both on and off the field?

Part of a core group of mates at the Demons, Mitchell is great at getting others to pitch in and fill the many roles required to provide a great club environment for all. Mitchell is a regular, happy and enthusiastic participant at Club Thursday team selection functions and often asks if he can help out around the grounds on game day. If you need a group of young energetic bodies to assist, Mitchell is one who can gather them together.

Reason for nomination this round:

Mitch couldn’t have started the year any better after a positional switch from midfield to defence, his instincts are elite for a young player and has shown improvement each game. Mitch has become a key cog in our strong defensive unit.

Coach quote on Performance:

Mitch was outstanding again on the weekend; he is playing very consistent footy which has been great for him and the team. Mitch showed some real mental toughness on the weekend in trying conditions after a 4-day break. He led our team in inside 50’s and was a big reason of keeping our opposition goalless.  Not only does he provide run but limits his direct opponents influence.
