Watch AFL Sydney live in 2024 on Streamer
AFL Sydney is delighted to announce its official streaming partner for the 2024 season is Streamer, which will give AFL Sydney fans free access to live and replayed games at their fingertips.
Streamer will deliver AFL Sydney matches of the round across men’s and women’s Premier Division competitions as well as select fixtures across men’s and women’s Division One. All AFL Sydney Premier Division finals matches and Grand Finals across all competitions will be played on Streamer, as will the representative AFL Sydney vs AFL Canberra grudge match and July’s AFL Sydney/Canberra representative match against Tasmania.
In all, AFL Sydney will stream 58 Premier Division matches of the round and finals, Anzac Round at Picken Oval, Indigenous Round from Olds Park and Pride Round match days at Henson Park. In addition, several marquee fixtures across the Men’s and Women’s Division One competitions will also be streamed live including the Newtown Breakaways Pride Round and the Randwick City Saints Halo Round.
AFL NSW/ACT’s Community Football Regional Manager for Greater Sydney, Sam Zikman, was excited to lock in Streamer for 2024. “AFL Sydney aims to give players, clubs and fans of our league the best possible experience and Streamer adds to our high-quality product,” he said.
“Streamer’s interface and usability is second to none. AFL Sydney viewers just need to go to the AFL Sydney Streamer Dashboard (https://streamer.com.au/league/aflsydney) to watch our teams go head-to-head each and every week of the AFL Sydney season. They don’t need to download any apps, give credit card details or even create an account. It’s a wonderful outcome for us, our clubs and supporters, making our footy more accessible to more people.”
Streamer Operations Manager, Nick Rynne, was complementary of AFL Sydney ahead of the season’s April start. “The AFL Sydney community represents everything that we love about local sport – a strong league that has bold ambitions, but at the same time maintains such powerful grassroots connections,” he said. “We absolutely can’t wait to get involved this season and help showcase everything that makes AFL Sydney great.”
The Voice of AFL Sydney, David Redden, will return for his fifth season as head of the AFL Sydney commentary team. David will be joined by Jono Farr and Ash Borg to support the AFL Sydney footy coverage in season 2024. As a further boost to the league, the match coverage will now include extended match previews and reviews as well as interviews with players, coaches and officials.
The first matches to air exclusively on Streamer will be in Round One of the 2024 AFL Sydney season on Saturday, April 6. To celebrate the launch of the partnership AFL Sydney and Streamer will have three massive match ups LIVE on April 6 with East Coast vs. UTS AFC Bats in both Men’s Premier Division and the Grand Final rematch in Women’s Premier Division along with the debut of the South West Sydney Blues in Men’s Premier Division vs. the Inner West Magpies.
