2025 AFL Sydney Representative Program Update

Following a successful reintroduction of the Top End Talent Program in 2024, AFL Sydney are pleased to announce its return in 2025.
The U22’s Summer Series will kickstart the 2025 Representative calendar with both Male and Female teams to go head to head with the GWS Giants and Sydney Swans Academies in early March. Whilst Men’s and Women’s AFL Sydney Premier Division teams and AFL Canberra First Grade teams will take part in a Pre-Season Club Invitational series across March 8th and 15th, with matches to be played in Canberra and Sydney.
To round out the 2025 program, a Male and Female Senior AFL Sydney team will be selected to take on state rivals AFL Canberra in May before both leagues join forces to defend their titles against Tasmania down in Hobart on Saturday 19th July.

2025 Male Under 22’s Representative Program Coaching Panel
- Head Coach: Ben Roberts – Former Pennant Hills Demons Men’s Premier Division Head Coach, 2023 & ‘24 AFL Sydney Premier Division Coach of the Year
- Senior Assistant: Kevin Dyson – Former UTS Bats Men’s Premier Division Head Coach, 2019 Under 19 Division One Premiership Coach
2024 Female Under 22’s Representative Program Coaching Panel
- Co-Head Coach: Chloe Davis – Independent Schools Competition Lead & Sydney Swans Academy Coach
- Co-Head Coach: Phil Spratt – Community Football & Competition Manager Greater Sydney & Former Giants Academy Coach
- Assistant Coach: Brenna Tarrant – Current Sydney Swans AFLW Player, 2024 All Australian and former AFL Sydney Premier Division Player
Schedule:
Both squads will commence training together in February across four weeks, before competing in two matches, schedule below:
Matchday 1: Saturday, March 1 @ Patches Asphalt Park, Queanbeyan

- AFL Sydney Male Under 22’s v GWS GIANTS Academy
Matchday 2: Saturday, March 8 @ Blacktown International Sports Park – Oval 1
- AFL Sydney Female U22’s v QBE Sydney Swans Academy
- AFL Sydney Male Under 22’s v QBE Sydney Swans

Squad Selection and Announcement:
A squad of players for each program will be selected by the Selection Committee (including each programs Coaching Staff). The final Male and Female 2025 U22’s Summer Series Squads will be announced in the New Year.

All Under 22’s Summer Series matches, will be streamed live on the AFL Sydney Facebook Page and through AFL Sydney Streaming partner, Streamer (Click Here).
Further information relating to the 2025 Pre-Season Club Invitational Series and Senior Representative Football will be released via the AFL Sydney Website and Social Media channels in the new year.
