Written by Alicia Melit

AFL Sydney proudly hosted the annual Phelan & Mostyn Medal on Monday, 15 September 2025 at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf. With more than 620 guests in attendance. The evening celebrating, the outstanding achievements, contributions, and spirit of the AFL Sydney Community.

Special guests included members of the Phelan family, Tyler and wife Alisha, as well as senior AFL leaders in; Jason McCartney (GWS Giants), John Longmire and Leon Cameron (Sydney Swans), Adam Berry (Office of Sport), Barry Breen (AFL Legend, NSW Representative Player), and Ryan O’Keefe (NSW/ACT Coaching Development & Education Lead). AFL Sydney Life Members, Hall of Fame inductees, and past Phelan and Mostyn Medal winners also joined to mark the occasion.

The event was once again expertly hosted by MC Sophie Clapin, guiding guests through the presentation of more than 45 awards from the 2025 AFL Sydney Seniors season.

The night featured two historic moments in AFL Sydney’s highest honours:

Hannah Woolf (Manly Warringah Wolves) claimed back-to-back Mostyn Medals, cementing her place in AFL Sydney history.

Finbar Delbridge (South West Sydney Blues) dominated the count to secure his first Phelan Medal – fittingly, on his birthday.
