Cave is one of the most accurate and efficient kicks at the Club and he has an innate game-sense and composure far beyond his age. (This may be as a result of being forced to give up Footy when he was younger, and having to play two seasons of Ice Hockey in a small US Ski town instead …)
In only his 3rd game of Prems football, Cave is one of a wave of young local talent starting to cement their place in the St George Prem’s squad and push for permanent spots in the starting line-up.
Cave’s linkage between inside and outside mids combined with his defensive running to cover off and protect the space was critical in our win. And 28 disposals at about 79% efficiency, including 12 handballs at 91% was huge for someone who hasn’t quite had his 18th birthday yet.
