Boy, Oh Boy Wowee of the Week – Bye Round

BYE ROUND WINNER

The North Shore Bombers for securing AFL Hall of Famer, Kevin Sheedy, as their new number-one ticket holder.

Not only does this label mean Sheeds is attending club events at Gore Hill, he’s even helping out at training. A few weeks ago, the Under 19s and Seniors playing groups were lucky enough to have Sheedy take them through their paces at training. The AFL Legend spoke from the heart when he addressed the players and shared knowledge gained from 50 years and more than 1,000 games of experience at the highest level. He even had time to do a live cross on Fox Sports from Gore Hill Oval which was televised nationally.

Being an Essendon Bomber legend, Sheeds wanted to become part of the growth happening at the North Shore Bombers. This year the club has expanded to 12 teams across all grades and registered over 400 players. Constantly promoting AFL across the country, Sheeds is excited to be officially attached to North Shore as they continue to grow in the future.

Having Sheeds at training was a fantastic experience for the club and they’re excited to have him around at more club events in the future.

Nomination: Molly (Ryan) Meldrum, North Shore Bombers
