Boy, Oh Boy Wowee of the Month- Rounds 5 to 8

ROUNDS 5 to 8 WINNER

Over the past four rounds of the 2021 AFL Sydney Competition we have seen some spectacular moments, although none more anticipated than this month’s epic Boy, Oh Boy Wowee Winner!

Round 6 saw the game day experience at Mike Kenny Oval soar to new heights with the showcasing of the newly built clubrooms for the Pennant Hills Demons Football Club. Players, spectators, visitors and officials were all able to enjoy the advantageous views of both fields from the wrap around balconies on the perfectly positioned new structure. The clubroom now provides an outstanding view of BOTH playing fields at Mike Kenny Oval. In between the balconies is the conveniently located bar and lounge to enjoy a cheeky beverage or two. The new rooms were welcomed for their warmth and the canteen was celebrated for serving up warm chips and other classic footy grub.

That evening the traditionally known ‘meeting’ room was transformed into a children’s creche as those on the lower oval balcony viewed the Masters first home game of the year. It saw kids waving ‘go dad’, flags going wild and a spectacular atmosphere for a nail biting performance.

After the matches concluded the club celebrated it’s first official social event of the 2021 season calender with the Pennant Hills Toyota Comedy Night. The club welcomed an impressive lineup of internationally recognised comedians. Finishing the night, spectators enjoyed the Giants vs Richmond game where they all eagerly watched Pennant Hills past player Kieren Briggs debut for the Giants, emphasising the community spirit within the club.

Special mention during this round as the clubrooms hosted commentators for the livestream of both Men’s and Women’s Premier Division teams as they went to battle against the strong suited North Shore Bombers, all streamed live on Kayo.
