AFL Sydney Rising Star nominees – Round Eight

Women’s Round Eight Rising Star nominee

Name: Chloe Arndt

Nickname:  Chlo

AFL Sydney Club: East Coast Eagles

Position: Mid / Back Pocket

Junior Club:  Kellyville Magpies.

Favourite activity to do outside of football: Loves a good walk, staying fit & watching a good Youtube video.

What is one thing that we don’t know about this Rising Star that they are well known for around the club? Chloe is the quiet one, both on & off the field which everyone is trying to change.

What role do they play for the club both on and off the field? Chloe is becoming a leader on the field and a great support to new players coming into the team.

The night before the game what will they most likely be doing? Chilling at home watching the footy on TV.

Do they have any pre-game superstitions? Socks have to be at the same height on game day.

Reason for nomination this round:

“The transition from U18’s two years ago into Div 1 & now into Premier Division has been seamless for Chloe.”

Coach quote on Performance:

“Chloe is at her best coming out of the backline with her ability to hit targets, evading the opposition to deliver the football to her teammates. Chloe is also a sneaky forward when she’s down there and loves a goal when she gets the chance. When playing the middle, she reads the ball and the play exceptionally well which provides great structure to the mids. Chloe consistently works hard across all 4 quarters.”
