NSW Australian Football History Society

The NSW Australian Football History Society Inc. is a non-profit organisation whose role is to research, gather, document, catalogue and arrange for the safe keeping of objects and items of significant interest to the history of Australian Football in NSW and most particularly in Sydney.

The Society was formed in 2010 by a small group of enthusiasts interested in the history of football in NSW with the support of the AFL (NSW/ACT).  In May 2011 it was incorporated as a non-profit association and subsequently through the generosity of the Western Suburbs Australian Rules Club given accommodation at their club in Croydon Park next to the long-time Australian football ground, Picken Oval.  This generosity has been continued by the successors of the Western Suburbs Australian Rules Club, Magpie Sports and its parent Club, Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL Club.  The Society numbers now almost 100 members and actively welcomes new members interested in the work of the Society and the history of Australian football.
