What is one thing that we don’t know about this Rising Star that they are well known for around the club? He’s a bit of a lad and a larrikin around the club. Quietly spoken off the field but when he does pipe up it’s always something entertaining and memorable.

What role do they play for the club both on and off the field? Acknowledged as being a great clubman. Always willing to pitch in around the club on game day running water for other grades and turning a few snags on the barbeque.

The night before the game what will they most likely be doing? Watching the Friday night AFL game on the television or hanging out with mates after work.

Do they have any pre-game superstitions? Is superstitious about having superstitions; so he doesn’t have any.

Reason for nomination this round:

“Played a huge role in the last quarter victory.”

Coach quote on performance:

“Coombs has been one of our most consistent performers this season. Playing in one of our midfield rotations on Saturday he made every possession count in a tight game. Coombs really pushed himself and willed his teammates; particularly as the scores got tight deep in the last quarter. His kicking efficiency with that deadly accurate left foot of his was on full display as he led the team in inside 50’s. His contested possessions and toughness around the stoppages was huge for the side down the stretch and went a long way to helping the team secure the win.” –  Jed Ellis-Cluff, Senior Coach.
