Sydney University Seeking Senior Women’s Assistant Coach for Season 2022

SUANFC are seeking expressions of interest for the position of Senior Women’s Assistant Coach for the 2022 Season

 

SUANFC operates within a unique space in the Australian Football landscape. It operates 12 teams within the local Sydney AFL competition. The club’s deep roots in the University of Sydney, Australia’s premier tertiary institution, make SUANFC the most dynamic and progressive club in the country. The Women’s Premier Division operates within Sydney AFLs first grade women’s competition and, along with the Men’s Premier Division side, is SUANFC’s cultural centerpiece.

The role of Senior Women’s Assistant Coach seeks a professional individual who will support the SUANFC Women’s Senior Coach to achieve high-performance and execute athlete development within the Women’s Premier Division team. The Senior Women’s Assistant Coach will have a particular focus on skill development within the Women’s Premier Division squad, and wider development squad. The chosen individual will possess an array of skills that will assist in the delivery of a holistic football program within a positive learning environment.

The successful applicant will be required to attend 2 x training sessions per week, plus weekend games.

Remuneration for this role will be commensurate with the successful candidates skills and experience.

 

The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:

– Level 1 AFL Coaching Accreditation (or ability to obtain)

– Professional approach & ability to work in a University based environment

– Highly developed leadership skills

– Demonstrated ability to engage and relate with players

– Demonstrated football administration skills

– Demonstrated organisational skills

– Excellent verbal communication skills

– Demonstrated strategic planning skills

– Computer literacy and excellent written communication skills

– Working with children check
