National insurer AAMI will once again support community clubs around the country, with the much-loved AAMI Clangers For Good program returning for 2022.
After a tough two years due to COVID, AAMI is back to help local footy clubs turn something bad into something good, across the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
For every ‘clanger’ across the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season, AAMI will donate $10 per Clanger during the season, with eight lucky clubs taking home up to $15,000 each.
Last year, the AAMI Clangers For Good initiative saw $123,780 given to 12 winning clubs from over 500 entries, thanks to almost 8,500 Clangers across the 2021 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
AAMI Ambassador Trent Cotchin said the AAMI Clangers For Good program plays an important role in bringing people together.
“We know as human beings we crave connection and that sense of belonging we all want and need. There is no better place than our communities and in particular sporting clubs being a hub for that connection, which I know has certainly been one of the greatest challenges for people through these last few years. AAMI is doing amazing things helping these communities thrive,” Cotchin said.
AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial, Kylie Rogers, said that AAMI’s commitment to community footy comes at a time when clubs need it most.
“AAMI is a valued partner of the AFL and AFLW, and it’s great to see the Clangers For Good program back in 2022. It’s been a tough couple of years for the community, and the AFL and AAMI are committed to supporting grassroots football and local clubs across the country get back on their feet.”
AAMI CEO Insurance Product and Portfolio, Lisa Harrison, said that AAMI is excited to demonstrate its support for community football in 2022 and beyond.
“We are thrilled to be continuing our support of local footy clubs around Australia again this year through our Clangers for Good initiative which will launch during the season.
“Our AAMI DOES campaign highlights our commitment to being there for our customers and going the extra mile for our community, so we’re delighted to be able to extend this support to both grassroots football and the elite level,” Ms Harrison said.
“We’re proud to be the ‘doers’ of insurance, so we’re delighted to be working with the AFL to support community footy again in 2022.”
