Sophie finished 4th in the U20 Long Jump Nationals this year

What role do they play for the club both on and off the field?

Kav is still only four games into her time at the club, so is settling in and making friends with her teammates off the field. On the field she’s carving out a great role as an athletic pressure small forward

Nomination Details

Reason for nomination this round:

After playing a few games in lower grades having made the move up to senior football from school football, Kav played her first game in Prems in Round 7. She made a quiet contribution, kicking four goals (one in each quarter) and playing her role in a deserved win over local rivals North Shore

Coach quote on Performance:

When Kav first arrived at the club all the coaches could see the potential was there. Settling her in through lower grades, in Round 7 circumstances aligned where we could give her a run at Prems level. But we didn’t expect her to make an impact on Prems this quickly. Four goals and playing her role in the forward line was way above our expectations for her first game in Prems. Kav embraced her chance and really made the most of her talent which hopefully helps her get comfortable that she can play her “new” sport at a high level
