XBlades AFL Sydney Round 16 Women’s Rising Star
AFL Sydney is pleased to announce that the 2017 Round 16 Women’s Rising Star is Allie Tialshinsky from the UTS Shamrocks.
Allie is in her first year playing in the Women’s Premier Division with the UTS Shamrocks. Allie has played 7 games for the Shamrocks this year and continues to develop her skills and understanding of the game. The physicality of the women’s game was learning curve for Allie however her confidence has really lifted as the season has progressd and she’s prepared to put her head over the ball for a hard-ball get.
Allie has fast pace to attack the ball and has been very handy playing in the forward line and on the wing for the UTS Shamrocks this season. Last weekend the Shamrocks had a few keys players out as they were in Melbourne for the International Cup competition. Allie really stood up and helped to fioll the void. She relentlessly chased, tackled and applyed pressure against the very dominate Sydney University opposition. Allie also currently trains once a week with the Newcastle Academy Squad and has great potential!
AFL Sydney congratulates Allie on her Round 16 Rising Star nomination.
