Hawkesbury Jets players Kurt Miller, Jake Roberts and Rohan Williams bolstered their preseason preparations when they joined their RAAF colleagues in Melbourne this week as part of the ADF Australian Rules annual carnival.

RAAF took on Navy on Wednesday 22nd March in a bruising encounter, going down to Navy 11.10-76 to 7.4-46, with Miller playing across half back and Williams contributing on the wing. Jake Roberts unfortunately was a late withdrawal due to injury, hopefully he makes a full recovery before round 1 of the AFL Sydney season.

The Jets have a long tradition of providing players to these carnivals over the years, including Shipley Medallist Aaron Clayden – still on the RAAF Mens coaching panel, Andrew Travers, Adrian Wagner, 2016 Apted Medallist Casey Wenselowski for RAAF; multiple Shipley Medal winners in Mitchell Crowe & Mat Smith, Grant Hoffmann & Warwick Smith for Army, and Hibbins Medallist Chris Collins for Navy to name but a few.
